The single authorisation framework will bring together all the permissioning arrangements for SEPAâÂÂs four main regulatory (water, waste, radioactive substances and Pollution Prevention and Control) into a integrated permissioning structure and under a single standardised procedure (subject to the requirements of European and national legislation).
The framework will enable SEPA to work in a more integrated way, focusing on the environmental risks that matter the most. It aims to help them to bring all those that they regulate into compliance more quickly, easily and cost effectively and also better place them to help as many businesses as possible to go beyond compliance.
