ORG Sector group meeting and site visit
Venue: Jack Moody Ltd, Lodgewood Farm, Redhill Way, Telford, TF2 9PD
Date: Wednesday 30th November
Time: 10.30 â 14.30 - Lunch provided
Jack Moody Ltd has kindly invited members of the REA to visit their biomass, composting and growing media production facility in Telford. As with previous Organics Recycling sector group visits, the morning will be spent networking and listening to speakers on a range of topics, many relevant to the biomass and wood recycling sector as well as the more traditional composting members (see DRAFT programme below), followed by a site visit in the afternoon.
This site processes both virgin timber and âÂÂCâ grade timber into biomass for subsequent combustion in power stations throughout the country. In addition they process bark and compost to manufacture a range of growing media products including bark and compost for both the domestic and commercial markets.
Members will have the opportunity to tour the facility which processes in excess of 25,000 tonnes of waste and virgin wood in addition to composting over 30k tonnes of green waste compost for the production of quality 10 mm PAS 100 compost for the growing media market. The facility also acts as a distributor for wood pellets which are sourced both from the UK and the continent for use by the domestic and commercial users.
Attendees are reminded that they must bring their own HI-Viz and safety footwear, a failure to do this will prevent you from touring the facility.
